Annapurna Jomsom Circuit Trekking

 

Annapurna Jomsom Circuit Trek is finest and the most happening enticement trekking trail of about 200 kms trails in the Annapurna mountain ranges in the Nepal Himalayas. This trek starts right from Besisahar and goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of Manaslu and Himal Chuli. The trek accomplishes an altitude of 5,416m at the Thorung La pass, connecting the periphery of the legendary Tibetan plateau. The glorious mountain vista view includes Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, ice pyramid Dhauligiri 8,167m and many more Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. As the trek go down to the west at Muktinath from Manang, the route goes to the unproductive Tibetan like village of the kali Gandaki, the giant Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains is one of the exciting part of this trek. This typical trail offers a spectacular assortment of people and landscapes, beginning from lowland to alpine meadows to the Tibet.

Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Prepare for trekking (free day).
Day 03: Kathmandu to Beshi Sahar (823m)
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Beshi Sahar. It takes about seven hours to reach Beshi Sahar on a normal drive.Over night at Hotel/Lodge.
Day 04: Beshi Sahar to Bahundanda (1310m.) 6/7 hours.
Having breakfast at Beshi Sahar, we commence our trek to Bahundada. Lunch will be served on the way. En route, we trek through the deep river gorge, rice fields, sub-tropical forest and small hamlets, encounter a majestic waterfall with towering peak of Manaslu. Over night at Lodge.
Day 05: Bahundanda to Chamje (1430m.) 5/6 hours.
It is our turn to trek to Chamje from Bahundada. We would trek along the steep and slippery trail running through paddy fields, passing through tiny Tibetan villages. The trail ascends through the rhododendron forest to Chamje. Over night at Lodge.
Day 06: Chamje to Dharapani (1860m.) 6/7 hours.
We trek from Chamje to Dharapani. The path goes along the river through bamboo groves. We would also cross barley and potato fields at Dharapani at Lodge.
Day 07: Dharapani to Chame (2670m.) 5/6 hours.
After one hour trek we will be at Bagarchhap where we can visit the Tibetan Monastery Bagarchhap and view Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. The trail climbs along the mule track through pine and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple trees. Stay over night at Lodge.
Day 08: Chame to Pisang (3200m.) 5/6 hours.
The trail follows through the river valley, stay at Pisang with panoramic view of Pisang peak and Annapurna 2.Over night at Lodge.
Day 09: Pisang to Manang (3540m.) 5/6 hours
Walk through the fields of grazing Yak and a wide variety of crops. This large Tibetan Nepali settlement provides good views of Annapurna 2, 3, 4 & Gangapurna.Over night at Lodge
Day 10: Acclimatization at Manang (3540m.)
This is a rest day to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Time to visit monasteries, take advice from Himalayan Rescue Association and observe the spectacular views from the Himalaya. Lodge.
Day 11: Manang to Leder (4200m.) 4/5 hours.
We move through alpine pastures to scrubby forests of juniper and rose. Over night at Lodge.
Day 12: Leder to Thorong Phedi (4450m.) 3/4 hours.
Walking near by the river; sometimes possible to see herds of blue mountain.Over night at Lodge.
Day 13: Crossing Thorong-La (5416m.) to Muktinath (3800m) 8/9 hours.
We ascend steeply to high camp at 4550 m then along an undulating trail to the flat top of thorong-la ( 5416m). From here, the trail descend steeply down to Muktinath. This is one of the most important pilgrimage sights for Hindus, it is also home for many ethnics Tibetans and holy Buddhists. We stay at Muktinath & visit there. Over night at Lodge
Day 14: Muktinath to Jomsom (2700m.) 6/7 hours
Gradually walk through field and popular groves, then in to Kaligandaki valley. Visiting a old buddhist Monastery at Jharkot & Kagbeni. Over night at Jomsom.
Day 15: Fly to Pokhara (870 m)
Early morning fly to Pokhara, We have to fly early morning due to frequent change in weather at high altitude and disturbing wind after 11 am. The plane passes through Kaligandaki gorge which lies between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain range. We can see very spectacular view through the plane window. It takes 20 minutes flight to Pokhara. Whole day rest in Pokhara, Overnight at hotel
Day 16: Fly or drive to Kathmandu
Day 17: Leisure day in Kathmandu
Day 18: Final departure
