Day 04: OKHREY.

Mid-March to May is the time when the rhododendrons bloom. Most visitors arrive during these months to hike in the sanctuary. The weather is cool and clear with daytime temperatures hovering between 12°C and 20°C. From August to December, the weather is pleasant and the skies are bright and sunny and on a lucky day, you’ll be rewarded with dazzling views of Khangchendzonga.

Day 05: OKHREY – GYANGCHUNG

Gangchung is a scenic village of South Sikkim, offering majestic snowcapped view of Mt. Kanchenjunga with the green slopes of the lush green carpet of Temi tea garden and an ideal place to spend weekend in nature's lap. Scenic village. a romantic place. Morning view.

Day 06:GYANGCHUNG.

Raibahadur Kuthi-Perhaps the greatest example of how many historical architectures are still hidden from our eyes is the Rai Bahadur Kuthi in Gyangchung. It is believed that this kuthi was built of mud and stone about two hundred years ago. Now almost ruined by disrespect, neglect. Standing in the middle of the jungle with hundreds of memories, this kuthi will be on your must visit list when you come to Gyangchung. From Homestay is a ten-minute walk away.

Gyangchung or Drupden Monastery-The monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. Now a lot has been modified and is being. A small but beautiful monastery surrounded by pine trees will captivate your mind. To taste the serenity of the environment, to come to Sikkim again and again. The spacious attic of the monastery enhances the beauty of this monastery. Standing in the attic, you will see places like Rumtek, Khamdang etc. It takes seven minutes by car from Homestay and fifteen minutes by foot. Once you walk, don't forget to feel the silence while drinking tea at the small shop next to the monastery.

Temi Falls-Those who like adventure or love to do short treks in the mountains can do this trek effortlessly. Going and coming about three kilometers means a total trek of six kilometers. Temi Falls can be reached through the jungle trail along with dense green path. I don't think travelers have come to the falls yet. There is a small iron hanging bridge over the falls. Standing on the bridge and looking down at the green chest, Temi Falls is filled with wonder and love. Although the trek is short, the path is very narrow and quite steep. So unaccustomed trekkers may have difficulty. It is better to consider before leaving. But once you reach the falls, you wouldn't want to come back. It is also possible to arrange a barbecue party there.

Pine Path-On the way to Gyangchung via Damthang, you will be greeted by a green path surrounded by dense pines. The beauty of the path cannot be explained by the camera lens. Which seems to be seen from the front. You will get lost in the secluded abode of nature while walking on this path in solitude.

Rukum tar-Rukum Tar, a natural playground surrounded by pines, is not just a field, its beauty is eye-catching. It takes fifteen minutes by car from Homestay to Rukumtar. You will find tea-coffee in small shops along the field and you will be able to enjoy it while sitting in the sun.

Temi Tea Garden-Temi's view from Gyangchung is impeccable in a word. The entire Tea Garden can be seen from Gyangchung. It takes about half an hour to get to the place by car. Temi Tea Garden is the only tea garden in Sikkim.

Namchi Chardham, Ravangla Buddha Park, Sampadrupase Monastery etc. can all be visited from here. However, I will say, do not go to the hustle and bustle of these sites, rather choose bird watching, nature walks, trekking, while you are in Gyangchung. Taste a little different spin. I promised it would be good.

Day 07: GYANGCHUNG – CHALAMTHANG.
