The Sandakphu – Singalila Ridge Trek is one of the most iconic Himalayan treks, located on the Indo-Nepal border. Known as the “Trekkers’ Wonderland,” Sandakphu (3,636 m) is the highest point in West Bengal and offers unmatched panoramic views of the world’s tallest peaks — Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu.
This trek also passes through charming hill towns like Mirik & Darjeeling, enchanting rhododendron forests, and traditional mountain villages. A perfect blend of nature, adventure, and local culture.

Day 01 :

Manebhanjyang → Meghma

Start from Manebhanjyang (~1,946 m), trek ~4 hours through forest to Meghma (~2,600 m), a serene hamlet in Singalila National Park

Day 02 :

Meghma → Gairibans (via Tonglu/Tumling)

Pass through Tonglu (~3,070 m) and Tumling (~2,900 m), then ascend to Gairibans (~2,620 m). Immerse in rhododendron and bamboo forests.

Day 03 :

Gairibans → Sandakphu

Steep ~4-hour climb to Sandakphu (~3,636 m), with views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu.

Day 04 :

Sandakphu → Phalut

Long 21 km ridge walk (~1 day) to Phalut (~3,600 m). No water sources en route—ensure sufficient supply.

Day 05 :

Descent via Gorkhey/Sirikhola or back to Manebhanjyang

Options include trekking back along ridge, or descending through Gorkhey or Sirikhola to Rimbik and onward.

How difficult is the trek?

It’s a moderate trek. Distances are long (up to 20 km in a day), but with proper fitness and preparation, it’s doable for beginners.

Where will we stay during the trek?

Accommodation is provided in trekkers’ huts, local homestays, and standard hotels in towns (Mirik & Darjeeling).

Can I withdraw cash during the trek?

No ATMs are available on the trek route. It’s best to carry sufficient cash from Siliguri, Mirik, or Darjeeling.
